We had heard a fair bit about this statue of the Pope on Roncesvalles (in Toronto) that was garnering a lot of attention - lots of flowers, people, the whole bit. So last night on the way home, my husband and I stopped to have a look.

What we didn't know about was just how MANY flowers and people there would actually be! Jeez!





There was a prayer service going on - in Polish - while were there.




There were a ton of stores up and down the street with little vigils set up in their windows. This was a bookstore.
